Our first batch of chips were at least twice cooked and there was a whimsical amount of condiments on offer. How one expects somebody to get the appropriate amount of ketchup from a container more suited to the kind of own brand bleach you’d find at Asda I’ll never know, but the fryer here seems to think it’s acceptable. Our chips were £1, which has rescued the overall score here. At least the half-time chips were freshly fried, if soggy. View the Chip League here.

Half time chips

Hi,

A most interesting article, I will include my own (Ramsgate FC) rating on chips when I go tomorrow (31st). However for next season could you include a drink version of the same magnitude. Since the demise of Bovril (they no longer make it I am told) although at every football ground I have ever been to used to sell it, can we include a half time drink with the chips, whether it be an alcholic drink or soft drink I think quality and price should be rated. For instance I have paid £ 1:20 for a pint of coke out of a pump at Ramsgate FC, however for the same item at Bromley I have paid  £3:40. I would be interestedin your comments if you are able to set this up.

Thank you for your message.

Whilst we all enjoy a tasty beverage with our chips we currently have no plans to expand into the liquid refreshment market. We feel that the surface of the Non League Chip world has still only been scratched, and we would like to delve a little deeper into that before moving into new areas.

I hope your game at Ramsgate went well, and that the chips filled you with either joy, excitement or both. Please feel free to submit a review.
